What is Compatibilism?

1. MUST have a thesis statement in the introductory paragraph.
2. You SHOULD NOT use any sources outside of the course material.
3. The paper should demonstrate that you should understand and can clearly present the material.
4. You also need to demonstrate that you can CRITICALLY EVALUATE various philosophical positions and arguments. You need to draw some conclusion about the material.

3. EXEGESIS- Spend several paragraphs CAREFULLY explaining the relevant philosophical arguments and positions. Don’t just give a general over-view of the positions and arguments. Give a step-by-step explanation of the various positions and arguments.
4. EVALUATION- In this section of the paper you should CRITICALLY EVALUATE the material covered in the exegesis. The goal of this section is for YOU to take and defend a philosophical position.
5. CONCLUSION
