What argument does the speaker of Billy Collins’s poem make?

So this is the poem and the essay should be at least 3 full types pages. Essays should have an introduction, thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Thesis statements must assert a worthwhile, explorable, argument. Since essays will assert an argument, then body paragraphs should go about the work of providng evidence that justifies and supports your thesis.

Essays must integrate, analyze, or refert ot specifically the text “Introduction to Poetry.” In other words, the argment you assert about Collins’s poem should exame the contents oft he poem because it’s your primary source of evidence. Essays submitted without quotes will face a significant grading penalty.

I wouldn’t mind if you could integrate using quotations and making it your own. This would be greatly appreciated.
