Opposition defiant disorder (ODD)?

imagine a child who is not doing his or her schoolwork. Regardless of the child’s actual diagnosis, how might you try to determine if this represented inattention or impassivity, as in attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), as opposed to deliberate refusal, as in opposition defiant disorder (ODD)? Keep in mind that these children will probably not give much useful information in response to direct questions about why they engaged in a particular action
