Recently, your department has been cited for lacking the level of diversity the organization would like to see across departments. You are currently looking to hire an accounts manager. Two men apply for the position. Both hold bachelor’s degrees from state colleges and have the same amount of experience relating to this position. One candidate is African American and one is Caucasian. While both candidates received positive references, the references for the Caucasian candidate were stronger and more enthusiastic.
