Term Paper: 20% of course grade Students will complete an 8-10 page term paper. All papers will be typed, double-spaced and submitted via digital drop-box on BlackBoard. Papers must be submitted on or before the due date. Late papers will not receive credit. Papers must adhere to APA style, and will be evaluated for composition and grammar. Term paper topics will be selected from a list of topics provided by the instructor and available via BlackBoard. The term paper is worth 50 points. Your term paper will comprise 20% of your course grade.
You may choose from one of two options for completing the paper requirement for this course. Regardless of the option you choose, papers must be word processed, double spaced, and in APA format. Papers should be a minimum of 8 pages long and a maximum of 10 pages long. Work must be submitted on or before the due date. Late assignments will be docked one grade for each day they are late. Papers must adhere to APA style for all citations. Papers will be evaluated for composition and grammar.
Developmental Profile: Describe the social, emotional, and cognitive development of a child you know. Note that you must obtain permission from the child and his/her parent. The paper must contain specific observations and specific examples of developmental constructs from Piaget, Vygotsky, Erickson, Ainsworth, and others.
