Paper instructions: The Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution lays out certain fundamental rights and protections which govern how police and law enforcement do their jobs. Subsequent Supreme Court decisions (known as landmark cases) have further defined and refined these definitions.
Directions: Choose one of the following U.S. Supreme Court landmark cases:
* Tennessee v. Garner, 471 U.S. 1 (1985)
* Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968)
* Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966)

Research your choosen U.S. Supreme Court landmark case. * two pages, double spaced essay discuss why this case is considered to be a landmark case.
* Explain which Amendment applies to the case (such as right to free speech, search and seizure, etc.) *Describe how the Bill of Rights and this case ensures due process and determines the legal environment for law enforcement agencies in the U.S. today. You are also encouraged to find additional sources of reference information. These outside sources must be cited and referenced.
